CSGSA Meet and Greet 2011

Hello all!
I wanted to thank everyone that was able to come out and enjoy our first
event of the year, the Graduate Student Meet and Greet. It was a great
success, and we were happy to get to meet some new faces around the
department.
I know some folks were unable to attend, but that does not mean that you
cannot still join the CSGSA and be part of other events we will be involved
in this year. If any of you are interested in joining, please let any of
the CSGSA officers know and/or reply back to this email. Dues to be part of
our organization are only $10 for the entire year, and can be paid to either
Nicole Tobias (President) or Dennis Lingerfelt (Treasurer). These dues help
us throw events such as the Meet and Greet and also allows us to help out
the graduate student population of this department (for example, last year
the CSGSA made it possible to have a fridge in the graduate student lounge
for everyone to use). Membership is open to all graduate students in the
School of Computing, and we would love to have you join us.
Our next meeting will be held soon for all members to meet one another and
talk about the best ways for CSGSA to serve the graduate student population
in SoC.
I hope everyone has a great semester, and thanks once again for helping make
the CSGSA Meet and Greet a success!
